MAI provided engineering and surveying services for the transformation of a commercial/office campus into an educational campus for Palomar College. Services included design development through construction administration services. Our engineering services included the following:
- Site Grading, Drainage and Stormwater Management Improvements
- New Building Utilities- Sewer, Water, Fire & Storm Drain
- Palomar College and DSA Processing
- Construction Administration
Our survey services included providing an aerial topographic survey in addition to supplemental field surveys to support the engineering design. Project challenges included the redesign of a previously DSA approved project to meet the District’s budget and enhance the student experience. Our revised design incorporated the re-design of all existing site work, storm water management, student and ADA access, study space, and existing parking lot to facilitate mass transit.
